Helps energy extraction from foods

Evolving research shows that probiotic supplementation may support maintenance of a healthy weight and glucose homeostasis,when taken in conjunction with a healthy diet, by helping balance the gut microbiota.†It has long been known that the gut microbiota extracts energy from dietary substances such as fiber that are indigestible by the host. The substantial amounts of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium species in this formula support microbiota diversity and a healthy balance ofmicroorganisms in the digestive tract.†

Produces conjugated linoleic acid

Probiotic species, such as Lactobacillus rhamnosus, have been shown to synthesize and secrete conjugated linoleic acid (CLA). CLA is a naturally occurring fatty acid that has unique eff ects on fat metabolism. Studies
demonstrate it exerts a favorable eff ect on the way the body burns and stores fat. CLA may provide benefit by decreasing adipocyte size, increasing adipocyte apoptosis, decreasing lipogenesis, and/or increasing fatty acid oxidation. In addition, the CLA produced by probiotics may also beneficially support healthy glucose metabolism.† Ther-Biotic® Metabolic Formula provides a variety of probiotic species that promote CLA production within the intestinal tract.

Suggested Use
